Path Counseling | Licensed Professional Counselor

Christina Conrad, LPC, SEP has worked extensively in the field of trauma, starting with her time in Austin, where she worked with survivors of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault and her time in Tulsa, working with Mothers in Recovery from Addiction, and their children. She found an approach called Somatic Experiencing (SE), in which she is certified. SE works to understand how the Central Nervous System is responding to present and past events. In her work, Christina has repeatedly found that increased health and peace, and decreased chronic pain and panic/depression (among many other symptoms, such as addiction, codependence), come as a result of understanding and releasing life-long holding patterns that the body has used to cope and survive in the past that are no longer proving to be helpful, but harmful. Christina now sees clients at her private practice, The Path, Body Centered Psychotherapy, where she also offers Trainings that offer further information on how to increase body awareness and to allow this to become part of the healing process.
